conjunction with the John R. Lewis Voting Rights

Advancement Act of 2021.

• Aimed at formalizing a standard set of voting laws at a

federal level

• Intended to protect the rights of all Americans from any state

laws enacted that could restrict access to voting for some

Americans

• Despite the false claims that the 2021 election was full of

fraud, states began passing voting laws that were going to

make voting more difficult for many, including restricting

voting locations and mail in voting.
