Thesis statement
In the recent times, the American military has participated in the international relation and peace intervention programs. The US military has been dubbed as the world police in its involvement in the fight against terrorism in countries like Syria and Somalia (Fuhrmann & Kreps, 2010). For instance, The U.S counter-terrorism in Somalia, and the American participation in prevention of the programs of nuclear weapon development in countries like China, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Venezuela Gordon, M. R., & Davis, J. H. (2015). However, the involvement has been marked this controversy like the increase in the world's threats.

Outline
1. Introduction
US military forces had participated in establishing some precautionary strategies purposefully to prevent further world wars and in the execution of policies to prevent future nuclear development (Gordon & Davis, 2015).
II. Paragraph topic: Some of the international events that American military has participated in recent past include; the fight against Somalia and the prevention of nuclear weapon development programs in North Korea, China, Iraq, China, Venezuela, and Belarus.
A. Subtopic: The US involvement in the war against Somalia
1. Supporting Info: the US played a significant role in Iran to fight against Somalia. The US administration opposed the Islamic State of Iraq and ISIS. America's direct actions targeted the senior Al Qaeda operatives and al Shabaab leadership.
B. Subtopic: The US prevention of nuclear weapon development programs in North Korea, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and Belarus.
1. Supporting Info: The US government blocked North Korean Pathway to a ballistic Iranian nuclear bomb (Gunter, 2015). Until now, the US government is still participating in building peaceful relations among the nations.
III. Paragraph topic: Specific ground rules had been established in America to control the making of new military equipment as they were aiming at becoming the policemen of the world (Stevens, 2017).
A. Subtopic: The US participation in world wars.
1. The US had already proved its bravery as an international military by the time it was entering the First World War in 1917. However, the US gained its high power as a result of World War 1, and World War 2 made it become a superpower (Hook & Spanier, 2018).
B. Subtopic: The US geographical location has prevented it from geopolitical strain
1. America is situated in a position where it can undergo substantial trade across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
The massive navy and the military can patrol over the seas to control vital sea lanes.
C. Subtopic. The aftermath of the cold war
1. After the cold war, the American military could enter into continuous interventions of the military globally.
IV. Paragraph topic: American has taken a policing role in various incidents that happened since the World War 2 (Stevens, 2017).
A. Subtopic: American involvement in the Vietnam War
1. This happened when there was a war between Vietnam and its supporters against the US and South Vietnam. This incident occurred back in 1954 to 1975.
B. Subtopic: The US participation in the Civil War in Somalia
1. The US military participated in peacemaking during the counterterrorism attack in Somalia.
C. America’s participation in the Iraq war
1. The U.S took the policing role between in the Iraq war to prevent Iraq from developing the weapons of mass destructions.
V. Paragraph topic: Different driving forces fueled the international policy decisions associated with the discussed incidents (Hook & Spanier, 2018).
1. The Panama Canal treaty was made mainly to with the aim of gaining commercial interests.
2. The Korean Conflict to fight against the Russian military to remove Russia from Korea lands.
3. Destruction of Lebanon by the US government to reduce the political and religious tension.
VI. Conclusion
1. The Government’s aim in maintaining peaceful international relationship has been evidenced in various incidences. For instance, the American military is being involved in conflicts and wars to foster peace.
2. Since 1865, the US military has gained its policing power by participating in both second and first world wars.
3. After the World War 2, the American army engaged in many international incidences where it practiced its policing roles.
4. Currently, the US military employs its policing functions in ensuring that the nation is free from terrorist attacks and other related conflicts.
