The Texas Constitution was established February 15, 1876; it established the purpose and structure of the Texas government (Texas Constitution, 2017). The most current Constitution of Texas is the seventh in Texas history, the previous were between 1827 through 1869 and another constitution supervised the Republic of Texas (Texas Constitution, 2017). The current constitution is known as the Constitution of 1876 and was designed in 1875 by a constitutional convention. (Boatright, 2013). As of November 2014, there has been 663 proposed amendments that have gone before Texas voters in which 484 of them have been approved and added (Texas Constitution, 2017). The amount of modifications done to the Constitution has made it very long and hard to understand, due to this the state attempted to completely change the document in 1972 but was unsuccessful and disablement that was supposed to be addressed endured. However, the Texas Constitution is very long but detailed and is significantly fundamental and important (Boatright, 2013).

The Texas Constitution consist of 1 preamble and 17 articles. The preamble of the Texas constitution states “Humbly invoking the blessings of the almighty God, the people of the State of Texas do ordain and establish this Constitution”. And then moves forward with the articles

How are the main components of government set up by the State of Texas Consitution?

Texas was taken ownership by the United States in 1845. It was during that time that the Texas government molded with the customs of the Anglo Americans. The Republic Texas Constitution 1836 depended plainly on Anglo American values, this also was in effect by the constitution written in 1833 for an independent state with the Mexican Federal Republic (May 2010). Important and valued legacies made known the Texas constitutions joining fairness and laws, property of the community, and the protection of certain personal property from confiscations for those who owed a balance. The change was declared by Texas for homestead protection (May, 2010).

The first Texas State Constitution was formed in 1845 when the state entered the United States, this occurred because it showed constitutional values routine in the United States. This included the start of the written constitution, the foundation of command was the people, where it ensures the rights of the people, the separation of authority and the republican form of government. May (2010) states, the state’s constitutional principle of continuing significance is thee state legislatures, which are the representative of the people, which have all the powers not denied by the constitution and other valid federal laws. Although the state constitutions are disclosed by familiar ethics it varies from one to the other, due to it is motivated by regional politics and culture of the states (May 2010).

The first constitution started the governmental assembly in which supplementations and amendments were passed to succeeding charters. Seats are divided up the population in both houses of legislature. The bicameral state legislature requires that any bill that is proposed must be presented twice to proceed through a multiple progression of reviews, amendments and then approval (Texas Politics, 2005). The legislative is given to a two chambered legislature where the House of Representatives carry out 2 year terms and the senators are entitled to 4 year terms. The biennial regular assemblies, speakers by the House and lieutenant have elections where they are elected by the voters (May, 2010).

Which branch of the government seems the most powerful in Texas?

. The branch of the government most powerful in Texas is Legislature of all three main branches (Texas Politics, 2005). The legislature has tremendous serious parts especially when it comes to influence and obligation. One of the top ones that is extremely important is lawmaking. The main purpose for legislature is to carry out legislative responsibilities where they talk amongst each other and deliberate on the bills that have the possibility to become laws, constitutional amendments and resolutions (Texas Politics, 2005). Legislature has the authority to propose and approve resolutions, they must not influence the law, they are used for commemoration and declarations (Texas Politics, 2005). The Legislature has the authority regarding amendments to the Texas Constitution and the United States Constitution (Texas Politics, 2005).

Does the state of Texas constitution contain a Bill of Rights?

The state of Texas does contain a Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights is located in article one of the Texas Constitution under the Bill of Rights. Article one at a point contained 29 sections and later four more sections were added (Ericson & Wallace, 2010). The article provisions involve some fundamental restrictions on the rights the state government and specified rights individuals have as citizens. These Rights noted cannot be disregarded for any reason by the government (Ericson & Wallace, 2010).

Conclusion

The state constitution need to act upon a variety of functions in the democratic political system, it should have the capability to have responsibilities where the constitutions are weighed accordingly. The Texas Constitution is designed with an outline by the democratic government. It divides the authority into three branches and this establishes a system that balances and checks within the branches.
