Latin American region

Task 1

A) Who are the people who live in your region?

The Latin America comprises a group of countries dominated by both Spanish and Portuguese. It is the region of interest where I have lived for several years. Though it is not my native place of birth, the history defines it clearly as a multi-ethnic home to the people belonging to different ethnics with a national background. Most of the Latin Americans neglect to take their nationality as their ethnicity, (Mangin, 1967).

B). Are they native or immigrants?

Interestingly in the Latin America, native residents form the largest portion and just a small number of the immigrants from other regions of the world. In this region, most of indigenous Latin Americans just arrived during the lithic period. Natives being the majority in this area, they form principal inhabitants, (Mangin, 1967). From the European ancestry, the native Latin Americans include mesa- America, Caribbean, northern South America, and The Andes. The mulatto, blacks, Asians, and Zambo consist of the minority group. The white people form the largest group which accounts for at least more than a third of the region's population. There are groups of multiracial people comprising of mixed European.

C). what is the impact on the region because of this?

The area experienced some gradual change regarding the religion. Christian's emerged to be the majority especially the Roman Catholic group. The new membership tends to increase in areas like Brazil. The Argentina hosts the largest population of the Jews. Due to immigration in Latin America, the Muslims religion emerged with time, (Mangin, 1967).Due to the economic and social development in the region, some changes occurred as a result of net migration and emigration. The overall economic prosperity occurs in the Latin America associated with the high-skilled group of immigration that makes the entire citizen better.

However, the economic impacts of the immigration suggest the effects are small. The immigrants contribute to a greater economic prosperity leading to the improvement in the whole economy since there are realized benefits related to the productivity. The interaction of the immigrants, natives or the born citizen in the lotion America region brought about reduced rates of employment, less poverty, higher income and increasing rate of urbanization. In some parts, increased agricultural practices and productivity and industrialization emerged due to the interactions among the citizens in the region.

Due to the industrialization, the Latin American contributes to the emission of the greenhouse gases globally though at a small percentage. Some of the parts in the Latin America experienced inequality and informal employment because the richer tend to get more productive contributing to the rise in homicide rates. The countries in the region experience a challenge in the generation of quality as well as the formal employment. Some countries have had a long history based on the innovation and education. The widespread access to education in different countries enhanced development regarding educational systems.

The notable progress as evidenced in Jamaica shows essential coverage of at least ninety percent. The threatening impact in the region is based on the problems of insecurity. The crimes effects for the citizens are familiar, but still, the parts development is experienced. The region has had in history, an increased rate of non-communicable diseases which grew concern for the state due to the effect of migration. In Mexico, many people suffered from overweight and diabetes (Rowe, and Schelling, 1991)

Task 2

A). How do these people make a living?

One-third of the land in the Latin America co insists of the unused farmland. Most People in late America make a living through agricultural activities. One must understand that the population growth and increasing prosperity leads to great diverse diets putting a strain on the global food supplies. Through agriculture and rich fertile soils and good farming conditions, Latin America serves its growing demand. The parts of Brazil form most spare farmlands in the globe with at least three hundred of the land of potential arable grounds for agriculture. The people also make their living by working in the oil lands hence trade dominates the region, (Harrison, 2000).

B).What do they do that changed the area in history?

The events and leadership activities changed the Latin American history over time. However, migration from rural to urban center placed the area at a far angle amend the history of the area. People living in towns adapt to the modernity and globalization. Despite the fact that most of the income comes from the agricultural farming, and mining, however, cities contribute to the gross national product. The increased population over time brings the issues of global inequality crisis in the region with the evidence of both economic and financial crisis. Besides, the urbanization caused the development of shanty. However, improvements in the conditions of their surrounding contribute to their stability. The poor people suffer from extreme violence and rampant market shift in Latin America (Harrison, 2000).

Task 3. Make the final statement including your opinion and conclusion.

The nations like United States, Spain, and Canada forms the migratory destinations of the Latin Americans as well as their descendants. The migrations contribute to the interaction and influence of the culture and the way of life. The inhabitants of the region consist of both native and migrants interacting and intermixing leading to the multi-racial area. (Harrison, 2000).
