• Writing Poetry • As you have learned, poetry was a popular form of writing seen throughout the history of British Literature. You have read and examined several forms of poetry in your course of study, such as sonnets, odes, narrative poems, ballads, lyric poems and pastorals. In this unit, you focused specifically on the epic and elegy. Remember that a poem can be multi-faceted; there are many components you need to consider before writing.
