Differentiate and describe the major forms of health care delivery in the US.
Evaluate and critique the major legal, ethical, and applied bioethical issues and their impact on health care delivery and the research enterprise.
Examine and differentiate conflict of interest issues from personal, organizational, and policy perspectives.
Review the structure and roles of the legislative, executive (regulatory), and judiciary branches of the US government and outcomes relevant to health policy development.
Analyze the implications of federal, state, and local budget considerations in health policy formulation and implementation.
Analyze strategies that can influence health policy, including interest groups, grassroots campaigns, use of research and the media.
Compare and contrast current and emerging health policy issues and assess various stakeholder positions on those issues.
Given an issue that needs to be addressed within the health care system, formulate a policy analysis within the cost quality access model to influence and improved health care system.
Step Two – Select Your Topic – Week 2
Your topic will be submitted to the discussion board as a 4 to 5 sentence summary of what you plan to talk about. Please submit your topic as a word file to the Week 2 Discussion Board and include your name and tentative title for your podcast.
Your colleagues will help you refine the topic in the discussion that follows.
All topics require the specific approval of your Professor.
Step Three – Write your Script and Rehearse
Outline your podcast based on your research.
Write the script – tell the story. As you write, be mindful that you will be recording your voice. Therefore, what may look good as a long and complex written sentence may be difficult to record. Read what you’ve written out loud!
Rehearse! Once you have written your script and are happy with the content, then read it out loud several times before you attempt to record it. This is a good technique when doing any public speaking.
Step Four: Create Your Cover Slide
