Welcome to Week 3! Your Developing Researching Questions assignment will be due this week. Please refer to the instructions and review the grading rubric that will be used. This will help you in constructing your assignment. A few notes that might help clarify this assignment: - Set up your paper in APA format with title and reference page (but no abstract is necessary for this assignment). Include a paragraph introduction about the assignment. For your topic you can select your own if you are already underway with dissertation research OR use the topic of evidence-based policing since your first assignment (lit review) has already provided you with some background information and several references. - Construct your 3-5 research questions, bullet format is fine (just provide 2 preceding paragraphs with thesis statement included, and an additional paragraph introducing/before listing questions). - Part 3 in the instructions includes piloting questions and getting input from others (at your discretion). Include a paragraph about constructing these questions before you list (again bullet format is fine) your finalized 5-10 interview questions on your topic. - Provide a paragraph conclusion. Just as a guideline this does not have to be lengthy, so you should be able to complete in 3-4 pages (of content); add academic references you feel you need to support your paper (at a minimum including 3-4 of course readings/presentations from the week). The grading rubric states all required reading/presentations but all are not necessary. One last note, if you are having problems accessing the Read: Introduction to Your Study link, I am attaching a PDF file of this below.
