Society of Trauma Nurses (STN)
The society of Trauma Nurses is a non-profit and membership-based organization whose members are known to symbolize trauma nurses around the globe (Trauma Nurses, 2017). Additionally, the membership is only allowed to those nurses that are involved in trauma care in research, administrative, clinical, and educational roles.
Vision
The organizations vision is to become one of best premiere nursing organization around the globe for advancing the healthcare and nursing care when it comes to injured patients (Trauma Nurses, 2017).
Mission
As a professional organization, the mission of the organization is to see to it that there is optimal trauma care to all patients, internationally, nationally, and locally through the establishment of initiatives that concentrate more on trauma nurses related to collaboration, prevention, and treatment alongside other disciplines in health (STN, 2017). In this case, this organization advocates for the highest equality levels as far as far as trauma care is concerned across the globe
The organization offers mentoring, educational programs, prevention resources and interest groups to its members in an effort meant to assist them in professional development and performance improvement (Trauma Nurses, 2017).

As an organization, STN is committed to ensuring that its members grow professionally and in terms of their performance. The organization is now blessed with the membership population now at 1300 (Trauma Nurses, 2017). Most of these members represents the interests of STN in ICU, pre-hospital settings, surgical floors, and preoperative arena and outpatient and rehabilitation services.
