Abstract:

            The company operates under a general merchandise and retail industry in an international business level. It is a fortune 100 global retailer that has spurred itself in operating thousands of facilities across the globe. This heightens its business project liabilities when dealing with its customers. The company is majorly concentrates on project management services which they outline in their project management training curriculum of six courses that has been aligned with company processes. The company’s value delivered reflected that there was 31% increase in course participants’ knowledge of management tools as well as project management processes in an organization. This describes why this company has renowned and listed itself amongst the Fortune 100. 

Successful Criteria

The project success criteria is a definition in measurable terms of what must be done for the project to be acceptable to the client, stakeholders, and end-users who will be affected by the project. This company is a Fortune 100 global retailer operating thousands of facilities in the world. The success criteria of this project are developing six-week courses for project management training curriculum to replace the old and unsuccessful program. 

Criteria

1. Commercial success: Deliver the project on time, on budget, and with the right deliverables

2. Compliance: The project is in compliance with company vision and regulations

3. Previous curriculum: keep the most useful/highest rating part from the previous program, discuss with the talented members in the previous project so they will feel respected, and supported

4. Training instructors: focusing on training the instructors from the company, it is a crucial activity because they are the one who training for thousands of facilities in the world

5. Training schedule: ensure the training schedule won’t interrupt another ongoing project and tasks

6. Technical stability and adaptability: seamless modification of training curriculum and prepare for any future upgrade 

7. Sustainable development: monitoring the process and evaluate the long-term effect. 

8. Experience: The clients should be happy about the product, the employees must feel useful and happy

Benefit trigger and value

One of the benefit triggers should be the project delivered on time. The employees are unhappy with the previous training curriculum, it affected the working efficiency of thousands of facilities in the world. The company will lose enormous amount of money every year, because the benefit value of this new program is providing extra growth potential, working efficiency in every level, organizational reconstructed, less expenses on management fee. The benefit values should be high working efficiency with low cost, which can increase the company’s reputation in the long run. High reputation can help the company attract more talented employees in all over the world.

The quality is a priority in the measurement because the project is aiming for the long-term development of the company. The schedule is another crucial part; we need to deliver it on time to help thousands of facilities increase work efficiency. The budget is the least essential thing, for the Fortune 100 company, it won’t be much of a problem if compared to the benefit. Therefore, the project should focus on the quality of the project; they need to make sure to deliver the sponsor’s desires.

4. Meeting with sponsors and professors to negotiate the terms

5. Doing survey to gather information about the program from employees

6. Train the instructors

7. Train the employees

Requirements

· Employees experience requirement: The employees should find the program helpful and exciting. The program should provide them the necessary knowledge of project management

· System requirement: The training program should accommodate the management program without causing interruption to business activities. All changes should be communicated in organizational level so everyone knows. 

· Sustainability requirement: This project should be evaluated on an ongoing and long-term basis for its effectiveness 

· Scheduling requirement: All deliverables should be done on or before deadline on the agreement

· Budget requirement: the project should be delivered on budget. Even though there is a high percentage of the project would go over budget, but we have the contingency reserve ready for that. If any unexpected expenses associated with the activities which cause the price rocketing, it has to be communicated with the project manager. 

· Regulation and vision requirement: the project should be compliance with company current regulations and vision. 

Stakeholder Expectations

· Creating an efficient six weeks project management training program for thousands of facilities in the world

· Employees will be happy and find the program helpful

· Increase the work moral and efficient in the whole level which will cut expenses and generate profit in the long run 

· Boost the company's reputation 

· Creating a culture in the workplace
