EBP Grading Rubric

Overview:

1. Points – 150; Due Date – Friday – week 11 by 2359

2. Length – 750 - 1,000 words, excluding title page and reference page.

3. Word Processing Format – Microsoft WORD is the required file format using APA, Times New Roman, font of 12 ; (6th Ed. Publication Manual of the American Psychological Assoc.) This assignment requires an abstract.

4. Submission – via Assignments’ Drop Box

5. Late Submissions – will not be accepted and will receive a grade of (0) zero.

6. APA issues - one point will be deducted for each APA issue, please use your APA resources, for correct formatting of APA.

· Include study design (quantitative/qualitative), number of subjects, data collection methods (5 points each)

· Briefly describe study applications and/or conclusions

Evaluate Study Validity-what makes this study acceptable (25 points)

· Discuss overall validity (author’s credentials, funding source, & study design) (5 points each)

· Discuss internal and external validity that make this study acceptable (5 points each).

Technical Writing (25 points)

· Scholarly references – utilize at least 2 scholarly, peer-reviewed resources less than 5 years old.

· Spelling/Grammar/Punctuation/Length

· Paper is free of spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors.

· Adherence to assignment length, 750 to 1,000 words, excluding title page and reference page.
