Diabetic foot ulcers
The number of patients suffering diabetes has been increasing over the years due to numerous causes. The huge population of diabetic population is said to have a likelihood of 0.4% to 0.1% of developing diabetic foot ulcers among the older people who suffer from diabetes. This probability if predicted to increase as years go by due to the failure of the management of the health care facilities to develop intervention and prevention initiatives that will enable the general population as well as the patients with diabetes to determine what to do to avoid getting this illness. This condition has been said to increase the mortality rate of diabetic patients who suffer from it (Saad & Desoky, 2017). Therefore, this calls for interprofessonal collaboration of the management of the health care facilities in order to develop working initiatives that will help in preventing, treating as well as educating diabetic patients.
