Scholarly paper on personal philosophy of psychiatric nursing: After reading course textbook and studying the different theories of personality, the student will describe his/her personal philosophy based on his/her life experiences, previous education, and current education. Support for elements of the personal philosophy should be provided from the literature. The paper should include the student’s ideas about:

a. The theoretical paradigm(s) that fit(s) most closely with

his/her beliefs.

b. The concepts of greatest relevance to his/her practice as a

psychiatric mental health nurse

c. Any changes that may have occurred in his/her philosophy

based on recent experiences or recently acquired knowledge
