PEERS POST:

After reading the philosophy of ABC preschool, I would consider their main strength to be their ability to be precise and direct. Their mission statement is direct and allows the audience to know that not only is academics nor social skills their main priority, but rather they desire to watch the children who attend their preschool develop skills that surpass that of a simple education-based preschool. I noticed that in every phrase they are there to remind the reader that their job and focus is to equip each child to be engaged in their own education. Another strength is that they convey their philosophy in terms of understanding. They make it clear that they serve children with Christian based beliefs; this way families are aware of it before inquiring more information. Their mission statement and philosophy are well explained for every member of the community to understand. I believe that the organization would benefit from stating their vision clearly, rather than blending it in to fit into their philosophy and mission statement. If not stated clearly, it would be nice to see their vision expanded on in terms of relaying the hope of what the school will become as they continue to mold and educate the children.

The first thing I noticed while reading about Tender Care Learning Center was that they failed to provide an evident philosophy. It is clear that their vision is to continue educating themselves and preparing an environment ready for the constant change in the future of education. I think the vision of this learning center is pretentious in failing to recognize that while they state the overall goal, they fail to explain how they plan on equipping the children to have “a lifelong love of learning”. Their mission statement is not necessarily clear on how they plan to execute their goals.
