Drawing on our first-unit readings (Nongbri, Hyman, Westphal, Evans and Dalferth), write a brief reflection (approx. 2–3 pages) that answers the following questions:

What is “philosophy of religion”?

Where did it come from and how has it been shaped by the context of modernity? That is, how is philosophy of religion a “modern” subject?

Reflections should be double-spaced with standard font and margins. In-text, parenthetical citations are appropriate—e.g., (Dalferth, 173). You should do no outside research and so do not need a separate works cited page.
