Philosophy &101/Spring 2019 Homework #3: 40 Points

Shapiro Submit Canvas by 5/22/19 11:59PM

This assignment is intended to get you thinking about our explorations in Philosophy of Religion. I think

it can be done well in about 3-4 pages; if you can do it more concisely, that’s fine. If you need more

space, that’s acceptable, too. Also, please be prepared to discuss your answers in class.

You will receive full credit (40 points) for this assignment by taking it seriously and turning it in on

time. Late papers subject to a 5 point penalty.

1) Consider the philosophical question, “Does God Exist?” With that in mind, write a dialogue between two characters, each who has a different answer. You can invent any characters you want

for the dialogue (or use actual philosophers if you want), just so long as the characters refer (at least

indirectly) to arguments we have looked at in class.

2) Articulate one really good question that remains for you from our discussions in Philosophy of Religion. Say a few words about why this question intrigues you and how you might continue

pursuing it in the future.
