Thales vs. Homer

Thales, the first scientist and the first philosopher on plant earth (Said Aristotle), thought the world should be explained in terms of the natural world;

Homer (The Odyssey and Iliad) argued that the world should be thought of in supernatural terms.

Instructions:

· 1st - Research Thales and Homer 2nd – Pick a side - science/philosophy vs. supernatural 3rd – Write a PERSUASIVE ESSAY that Thales' way or Homer's is the true way of life.  Simple, eh?

 

· Requirements:

· Between 1,000 and 2500 words 

· MLA format,       Size-12 Times New Roman,              Double-space. 

· Bulleted-abstract

· Cites and Works Cited  (Answer using chunk style -- claim/support/commentary - 1st week). 

You must have at least two quotes from at least two sources -- primary or secondary.
