Introduction

The purpose of this section is to give an overview of the whole strategic management plan for Biotech and the new Cosmetics division for the business set to operate in Asia. The operating and future business goals for the new division has been determined and recommended through researching some problems facing new industry as well as the advantages that the industry will have pertaining to the selected location. The consulting group has been requested to put together phase two that includes the organizational structure of the determined division as well as the first communications plan and new product line the company should be utilizing.

Section IV. Description of Organizational Structure and Culture

The operating organizational structure of Biotech assumes a top-down pyramid structure containing the lead management at the top which is composed of family members of the business owner. As the new brunch start to form with the division established to be open in Asia, a new director will be appointed, but the director should not come from the family member of the business owner. As such, the organizational structure is not only going to change on its own, but it is also required by the company to change into a new 22snd century form of organizational structure. The vision of the business (Biotech) is to develop leadership in the established division and at the same time encouraging the team members of the organization and ensures that every voice matter. The vision extends to ensure that the family part of the original company is expanded to include those who are not the literal family but are the aspect of Biotech family who wholeheartedly believes in the company's mission. The appointed director will select people from both the local nationals from India and other areas of the company to lead the various department of the new division. The person who will be the head of R & D must be more of effort-oriented candidate from the local area and the United States because they must venture into the collaboration of what will be a desirable sale for the local market and for the external market. The selected candidate to head the Department of Information Technology must be coming from India. Being that India is the largest producer and exporter of Information Technology and the technicians are well versed in the field of IT. Human Resources management should be a mixture of the people from the local and external members depending on the factor of how many local nations are hired. This is because of the possible existence of cultural differences in India as compared with the United States. The head of Human Resource may at some time have to deal with and consider factors such as holidays, religious differences, language barrier and other factors seen important to the local nationals being overlooked by US nations. Some cultural considerations for the appointed director include "India is one of the world’s most ethnically diverse states, with more than 200 ethnicities recognized by the government of Indian. The Indian government also recognizes 22 languages at the regional level but Hindi, spoken by less population, and English are the two official languages.” (Haines, 2016). Again, India is a family-oriented state, meaning that the company must be willing to allow certain exceptions to be set for the family including weddings and other family events. The events define how the family is bonded together and lead to the pride of that family to be highly recognized. The new organizational structure and design of Biotech India must be a mixture of the classic structure and branching structure that seeks to “raising the production of professionalism, while at the same time maintaining the best of the hierarchy of tradition and acknowledgement of the reinforced values of people who hatch ideas, innovation, and collaboration with peers for the purpose of generating revenues and creation values by means of intangible assets including brands and networks.” (Haines, 2016). Irrespective of the fact that a leader is coming from India or the United States, the outcome of the management must be the same and must bring the best team of management to effectively lead Biotech for continuous and sustainable green production. The new management is also required to efficient and robust to assist in maneuvering our today’s social and technologically driven economy.

Section V. Breakdown of Product and Services

As earlier stated on the profile of the company, Biotech will expand on what is currently doing in the cosmetic industry. It will extend from lip balms and move into dealing with popular products as with the launch of the first lipstick line. Other products that follow lipstick includes; foundations and powders and anti-aging and skin care products. First lipstick line of Biotech will shape other future products and the beginning of the company's commitment to the provision of safe, health, and quality products will fulfill the need of the customers. Lipstick Line of the company must be established alongside the Lip Balms in resting package kits for the purpose of testing the response of the market. The company could start by defining the application of cosmetics and color selection and then breaking the product into individual color and the types of application. The Lipsticks will be manufactured from Fruit-pigments oily plants and other ingredients in their natural form like shea butter, coconut oils, and Cocoa, and Shae butter. The cosmetics from these products are free of sulfates, petroleum, and phthalates. The company can cheaply obtain these ingredients from in India because the state is the largest producer and exporter of fruits and fruits products in the world. Mangos, Water Melons. Grapes, Apple, Sapota, Apricots, Papaya, Orange, Litchi, Banana, Guava, and Avocados are the common fruits in the state. Obtaining the raw materials from India will significantly contribute to the Biotech’s goal of being a triple bottom line company by 2021. This is because the company will be using all sustainable and natural ingredients from India for both the pharmaceutical industry and the cosmetics industry. This design is in line with the company’s commitment and mission statement in order to make it a sustainable and evergreen company.

Section VI. Communications Plan

As the Biotech ventures into the Cosmetics industry and set its roots in Asia, it will be a requirement for the company to communicate ideas and the ideas can flow across the continent in real time. Any decision and communication between the division and the main office must be made instantly. The Internet, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Wireless Communications are the common medium for communication in the company. The internet is the most important tool for research and development of new products as well as using social media to build up the consumer base and enhance the cosmetic brand of biotech. Networking can be used in communicating by means of video and traditional voice in a safe setting and at the same time making collaboration on document production, reports, and programming. This takes communications beyond virtual partnerships and into conversational interaction. The wireless communications would be modern devices like cell phones that can connect the business instantly anywhere in the world if there are issues that need immediate attention. The last and most exciting new form of communication would be cloud computing, which has really come up over the last few years as a key tool for business collaboration and communication. According to Golden, “Cloud computing takes what is good about networking but makes it now global with documents and programs able to be kept in v-drives or hard disks of computers and can be reached by the authorized user whenever they have a connection over Internet connections.” (Galbraith, 2014). Cloud computing is used by the modern leading companies of today like Google and apple and would be the best way for Biotech to collaborate on ideas and projects anywhere around the globe in real time.
