Apple Company (Research Paper – Phase 1 of Final Project)

Company has grown to be a giant in the tech industry for its innovations. The company sells excellent and innovative products and creates an important platform to sell its products and services. The company has faced competition due to market changes and trends due to smartphone developments and innovations and the general market decline (Arocha, 2017). It competes with other well-established companies such as Samsung, alphabet amazon HP, among others. This company beats competition due to innovating and using technology to develop new features that customers will find attractive than the competitor's products. The company enjoys a strong balance sheet because it enjoys reasonable prices of its products. The company sells phones, computers, software, and services worldwide through retail stores, direct sales, among other channels (Arocha, 2017). The company focuses on bringing the best user experience through innovative software, hardware, and services. The company has a unique ability to develop and design its hardware, operating systems, and innovative designs.

Through research and development, the company continues to discover and deliver innovative products through its platform, and customers continue to enjoy digital content due to these discoveries. It wants a high-quality buying experience because it sells premium products at premium prices. Its strategy includes building and expanding its online store and retail and third-party distribution channels to reach more customers and give them high-quality products and post-sales quality support experiences. The apples' flagship product is the iPhone, but it produces other goods such as computers, iPad, and iPods, among others. The company operates worldwide in areas such as china, japan, the Middle East, America, Africa, and many other parts of the world. Its largest share of the market distribution comes from third-party retailers, which amounts to 74%; it develops its distribution by growing the number of its stores. It targets consumers, the education market, and corporate institutions.

Governance in information technology comprises structures, leadership, and processes used by organizations to ensure decisions made through its IT can sustain and extend objectives and strategies. Governance of Information technology is an integral part of governance in enterprises; therefore, the enterprise's apparent strategic goals, objectives, and structure must be understood so that the decision made aligns with the IT investments (DeLone et al., 2018). Through governance, the IT decisions evaluate and direct the use of IT to support the organization and monitor the use of IT to achieve set goals. Through governance, IT can be monitored and applied in strategy and policy implementation to achieve its purpose. The IT strategy is aligned with the goals of the organization. Its governance affects organizations' value for investment from IT. If an organization aims at getting maximum value from it, it stands a great chance of succeeding. Suppose an organization wants to achieve the most significant impact and value from IT governance. In that case, the government must focus on making decisions that support the organization's goals and strategies. Secondly, governance requires people who will make tough decisions and people held accountable for the findings. Lastly, governance requires a structure or framework that identifies its roles, processes, responsibilities, criteria, and policy that enables it to focus on sound decision-making. IT compliance consists of digital security practices and requirements; compliance ensures secure company business processes and protects sensitive data from being accessed by unauthorized parties (Webb & Hume, 2018). Compliance provides systematic proof for adherence to external and internal policies, guidelines, and laws imposed upon the company. Submission is made through a secure process, and it ensures people in an organization follow set regulations and adhere to rules that protect its sensitive data.
