EXPERIENCE
Miami University: September 1997 to present. Area director and senior lecturer in the Journalism Program in the Department of Media, Journalism & Film at public "ivy" university in Oxford, Ohio.
· Teach wide range of courses, from freshman to senior level, with emphasis on core reporting and writing skills, along with necessary multi-media capabilities for 21st century storytelling.
· Coordinate six to eight special events a year.
· Serve as chair of Committee on Student Media Organizations; adviser to MU chapter of Society of Professional Journalists and Miami Quarterly student magazine; member of Journalism Program Scholarship Committee; member of university-wide Lecture Series Committee.
Freelance writer: January 1995 to present. Currently write for Cincinnati magazine and Cincy magazine, with earlier assignments from F&W Publishing, American Bar Association Journal, Miami University Development Office and various corporate clients.
Crain's Chicago Business: May 1994 to December 1994. Associate editor for Chicago weekly, covering the consumer goods industry, including such companies as Wilson Sporting Goods, E.J. Brach, Sara Lee, McDonald's and Helene Curtis.

· Freelance columnist. Wrote “Married With Children” column for feature section, offering first-person, often humorous, take on family life every other week. (December 1999 to December 2005.)
