C. Credibility Statement:  "I can speak about this topic today because..."

D. Thesis Statement:  “In this speech, I will claim/argue…”

E. Preview:  “Today, I will discuss (problem), and (provide solution(s))…”

Transition:  “First, I will discuss…”

II. Body

A. Main Point One (Problem): 

          Sub points (Support with Research/Evidence):Explain the problem: who, what, where,when, why regarding the problem

Transition:  “Now that I discussed ______, I will discuss   _______.”

B. Main Point Two (Solution(s) to the problem): 

          Sub points (Support with Research/Evidence):Explain the solution(s): What specifically can we do; how can we get involved; call us to take action

Transition:  “In conclusion…”

III. Conclusion

A. Restate Thesis: “In this speech, I claimed/argued…”

B. Summarize Main points: “Today, I discussed (problem), and (provided solution(s))…”

C. Clincher: Refer back to the attention getter and CALL US TO ACTION
