· Points deducted for anything below 6 minutes and anything more than 15 seconds over 7 minutes

· CITATIONS

· 5 in-text citations required from 5 separate sources

· Provide 1 in-text citation for each main point / 4 citations required in the body of the speech

· Provide a final, written version of the outline and a bibliography

· Do not use the outline as your notecards for the speech

· Bibliography and outline should follow APA guidelines

· Use online resources for APA guidelines to be sure it's correct

· VISUAL AID REQUIRED

· Required to have 3 - 5 slides as visual aid either in PowerPoint, Prezi or other appropriate presentation tool. Anything on a screen must either be in-screen (for an excellent grade) or on a large screen that doesn't have a glare. If paper aids must be used due to the current pandemic, they must be well-constructed, legible, and professional.

· You are limited to 45 seconds for any multi-media (video clips, audio clips, etc.)

· Include any URLs on the bibliography to videos

· Visual aids do not count towards spoken in-text citations (Must say "According to ____,")

DELIVERY DETAILS(REVIEW TEXTBOOK) For this talk, video tape yourself delivering this persuasive speech with visual aids.•You should be standing, not sitting, to deliver your speech next to your presentation slides. Video must be in landscape.•The video should be shot in a quiet room with good lighting.•You will want to use a tripod or similar arrangement to ensure a stable shot that includes your visual aid and your body from the hips or waist up in the frame at all times.•Remember, if I can't hear you clearly or see your face, that means I can't accurately assess your speaking skills.After hitting “record,” include the following information before starting your speech:•Introduce yourself to the camera stating your first and last name clearly.•Say your specific purpose statement: “My specific purpose is to persuade my audience of...”•Then begin your presentation. Timing your speech will begin at this point, not when you give the set-up information.
