Persuasive Essay

This Paper is a rigorous Persuasive Essay using original sources, making a concrete argument about a specific question, idea, or issue of significance. Students will write 5 – 7 double-spaced pages （exclude work cited pages）, in 12 point font, expounding on a clear argument regarding diversity in the multicultural landscape. Write in MLA style.

Approach: POLICY: Argue for or against a proposed city policy change currently debated, or one you propose yourself, and how it would address issues of structural racism and diversity.

For this essay, I want to start with the situation of homeless people in Chicago. Based on one thing I have witnessed. I usually go to Wilson on weekends, and there are a lot “tents city” under the bridge. One day, TV reporters came here to report on the phenomenon. When I came back the next weekend, there were nothing under the bridge anymore. So starts with this thing and talk about the homeless policy in Chicago and argue it. Then talk about how important they are to the Chicago government. Then, connect this to a documentary I have watched on Chicago Cineyouth Festival, Boober (2019),
