Running head: PERSONAL EXPERIENCE 1

Even though my elementary education was over in the past few years, it is still fresh memories in my mind. In the first two years in school, I failed to participate in any co-curriculum activity, which I think was one of the worst ideas. I am now regretting my decision of not joining any club or participating in any game. I thought everything was going to be okay with education only and that is how I went wrong. When the events were being held in our school, I would go back to my room and make the decision of not attending. I believe that not participating in games and sports negatively affected my relationship with my friends. It was also challenging to fill the college form because I had nothing to state in the activities section.

However, things went well in class, and I enjoyed reading and discussing hard concepts with my close friends. In this case, my favorite was English. I liked writing and reading literature across the world. I always appreciate the best writing when I come across one, but I have never considered myself the best writer. I think it is essential to first access my experience in writing and reading. I was then reviewing my writing procedure and challenges that I have come across. In the police academy, the writing was one of the most significant challenges each time I tried doing I felt that it was wrong.

Generally, I think that I have comprehensive experience in writing. When I was in the police academy, I had to evaluate most of the essays and research papers about the police department and suggesting the best ways of improving the policy condition. I enjoyed this topic because it directly touched me. I learned different citations sources such as APA, MLA formatting in the police academy. Despite using the standard academy English, I think that my English is satisfactory and sufficient. As a general rule, I find that the argumentative essay is one of the easiest to write. To write this type of essay one has to make sure that he picks one side of the argument and come up with a thesis statement. From all the work I have done in police training, this type of papers stands out because they are straightforward and delightful.

After high school, I decided to join the police academy because I had a passion for protecting my community. I need training and improving customer service. For one to be effective and professional one needs to learn how to relate to the public. I wanted to have the ability to learn problem solving techniques and professional. Education is the key to the success of any police, in order for them to earn respect. Police training also plays an essential role in reducing the number of injuries and enhancing protection mechanisms.

Another thing that I like about the police academy is physical training. At first, I found this very challenging because I avoided games and sports in high school. The police training academy time table, more than 50 percent of the activity was training. I got used to this because being police became my profession. One of the weaponless training defense are firearm retention, control holds, running, take away training, etc.

At some time the class spent most of the time at firearms range learning, this course aimed at handling firearms and shotguns. One week was set aside to learn about vehicle emergency activities. The policed college had these facilities in class and aimed at improving the participant’s participation. Another interesting training was pepper stray. The primary goal of this training is to know different ways of handling criminals. Most of the days in police training consisted of physical training.

There were three major training sessions that I found enjoying and interesting. These are classroom session, defensive tactics, and role-playing activities. The class conference was interesting since we were trained by well-experienced teachers who understood the subject matter. The role-playing was amusing since it was about assessing individual performance; one could not carry out the out lash thing since it was not real. The defensive techniques were useful and if you annoy the instructor one could end up having sore after the period.

I wanted to be perfect in my career as such I had to participate in extra training sessions. The exciting subject was core curriculum. We all spend at least one hour to prepare for the next class session. I can relate my learning experience to phenomena of conditioning that involves learning on stimuli. Physical activity is something that came slowly and automatically.

My experience in school was exciting, from high school to the police academy. In high school, I never wanted to participate in physical activity, but this changed after I decided to join the police academy. Physical activity was part and parcel in the police academy. I believe the knowledge gained will be helpful in making the society better, hence meeting my set goals.
