Name of the course is Information Security Operations Management

Course Description: Provides an understanding to implement effectively the information security vision and strategy set forth by the executive management. The emphasis will be on the management of an information security program. Focus is on the implementation of information security policy, information security planning, development of information security processes, and establishment of information security measures. Concepts and techniques from the management and organizational behavior disciplines will be integrated in order to identify and propose solutions to the problems of information security administration.

The learning objectives for the course are: Upon completing this course the students will be able to: 1) Discuss the issues in designing and planning for computer and network security 2) Manage security for computing systems and networks 3) Address threats and attacks through security planning 4) Integrate security policies, procedures, and tools into an enterprise security approach 5) Prepare a security project plan and discuss its implementation and management consequences as well as its theoretical basis.
