In my opinion, the healthcare system's most pressing issue is inequality and discrimination in healthcare provision. There are two types of inequality and discrimination in the healthcare system that are pressed for decades into the country. Racial and socioeconomic discrimination is noticed when it comes to quality healthcare provision and health insurance. Our healthcare system is beset with inequalities and discrimination that affect the quality of healthcare for many racial groups. These prevailed social inequalities affect access to healthcare insurance, healthcare opportunities and plans, access to services and bring challenging outcomes for minority populations. Racial discrimination affects the national health standards of citizens because they experience illness and poor health. Minority racial groups experience a lack of access to quality care due to such levels of discrimination.
In the modern world where mindsets are grown, the healthcare system is still suffering from numerous challenges. There is a massive gap in rich and poor people and thus their capability to access quality care that broadens the life-expectancy rate. The healthcare department of the country is much expensive that is unable to access by the poor population of the country.
Apart from race, socioeconomic status is another scale to measure the distribution of healthcare facilities. Low-income families also face healthcare disparities because of unaffordable and inadequate health insurance. Researches show that most life-threatening diseases have happened to African-Americans and middle-income families. However, these people still fail to get quality healthcare assets that would help them beat these diseases. Recent researches on healthcare disparities into the country says that African American’s comprises 13.4% of the total population that is at risk because of access to poor healthcare services. This research also highlights that health equity lack of progress since the last decade, and it is a massive threat to the well-being of patients from that class/race. Researches reveal that healthcare services provided by the state serve to maintain 20% of our body, and other healthcare facilities fulfill the rest of the needs. I think this is one of the most pressing healthcare issues in our healthcare systems that lacks conversation, and no one wants to solve this issue. One reason is that race or racial discrimination is rooted in US communities; thus, we cannot imagine that there is something that removes the concept of racial discrimination. United States healthcare system is one of the most significant high- quality and innovative healthcare systems. Still, the country is also known as the leader of an unequal distributor of healthcare services You already mentioned two, don’t add another one. Only talk about the one’s you mention in your intro..
The role of a nurse in a healthcare organization is minor as well as significant. A nurse performs a complete role in guiding and serving patients and their families. Also, a professional nurse help doctors and high officials to perform their tasks on time. The pressing issue that I have recognized is a huge issue. This being a nurse, I can think on a small level. I believe that change happens when every individual understands his/her responsibility willingly. Thus, as a nurse, I envisioned that I would support equality in the provision of healthcare services. Regardless of one’s socioeconomic status, I will promote equal health opportunities and offer services that will benefit in all its forms. The nursing profession collectively can foster change. Nurses are always stay touched with patients; thus, if all nurses start dealing with patients equally without bothering whether he/she is black or white, they can embrace change in the system.
you mentioned two important issues that exist but you really didn’t talk much about what you would do for it. You have about 1.5 to 2 pages left to write. Talk more about what your entry would mean for addressing this issue. Feel free to briefly mention your past experience with culture and language. Connection and communication is key and your understanding of language and culture is a benefit to helping provide quality care.
