Creating my own personal brand has helped me in my personal as well as professional life as this assignment has helped me to choose the job position that best suits me with all my knowledge and skills that I carry. The knowledge and skill-based job position would help me to inspire myself to adjust to that work environment and I would start enjoying my job thinking that I am not just doing that job for salary but also to expand and enhance the skills that would benefit me in a long run.

I am planning to graduate in my major which is Computer Information System (CIS) and once I graduate, my target market would be computer department firms which include information system departments. As far as I am concerned, I personally believe that I have the skills and ability to be involved and work in computer information system department and I also try to generate new ideas and skills that would help the company to achieve its goal. Similarly, I also carry a wide range of communication skills that would help me to communicate with my co-workers working in my department as well as other departments. Proper communication would help me to learn more about how they work and how their work is affecting the company’s policy. The main goal of any company is to gain the maximum profit and therefore, I would also set my primary goal to achieve the maximum profit for the company through my work and skills that I acquired. I am currently residing in Dallas, Texas and therefore, I don’t have any plans to travel. Being a resident of Dallas, I am familiar with this town and I am already adapted to this environment. Hence, based on my knowledge and skills I would be seeking a job position within the Dallas area for a position of Network and Computer System Administrator. This particular job position requires skills like fixing any issues with the design of network, collect data in order to evaluate the network’s or system’s performance, adding users to a network, train users on the proper use of hardware and software, maintaining computer system and network security and install all network hardware and software.

Based on my knowledge and skills, I would be searching for a job position of Network and Computer System Administrator, using the campus carrier services. Campus carrier services are always helpful in searching for the job position that would match the skills of students and they also provide students with training on preparing for job interviews. Being new to the computer information system world, I have not seen how companies work and how they generate profits and therefore, I would try to learn as much as I can from my seniors, and I would try to gain more knowledge and experience. Talking about the salary, an entry-level computer information system administrator salary ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 yearly and therefore, I would aspect my salary to be at least $45,000 annually including all the employees benefits like health insurance and social security benefits, bonuses, flexible schedule, vacations and so on.

With all the knowledges and skills that I acquired; I would search for a job position in job search website called www.Indeed.com and I would fill out the job applications that would match my qualification and their job requirement within my target market. This job website shows the job descriptions and requirement clearly with all the details of employers with their job benefits. I was able to use the website called www.jobscan.com where I compare my resume with the job description and I ended up matching 82% which I believe is a fair match and hence, I would join one of those companies. However, when I searched for the above position of Computer System Administrator, a hiring within a company named General Dynamics Information Technology, Fort Worth matches almost all my qualifications with their job requirements and I believe that would be my best match for this job position. However, to be able to work in any particular company, I would have to learn some more additional skills. My major is Computer Information System however, I have also done minor in Business and Accounting where I learned how a business companies operate and what steps they follow in order to achieve their organizational goals. This business and accounting skills could be very helpful within my job position. On the other hand, I have uploaded my resume in LinkedIn account as it could be helpful in my near future to grab an opportunity that I am seeking for.
