PEERS RESPONSE:

One thing I have learned about the research process throughout this course is that it is the hardest part of writing an essay. If the research you have found isn't valid, then your paper will be a waste of time. Finding adequate research that supports your topic takes time and willingness. I wasn't able to do a few assignments due to personal reasons. The most challenging part about the assignments that I completed was finding reliable resources that I can use for proper research. I always have a hard time when it comes to finding research because I want to use resources that I know will benefit my topic. One aspect that was surprising to me is how many resources there are on the internet that are similar to the issue you are researching. Since there are so many resources on the internet, it is harder for you to concentrate on just one. When it comes to doing research, you have to weigh out your options because you might find multiple resources beneficial to your topic.

Having research skills is essential because I will need to use these skills in my future courses as I go further into my academic path. It will no longer be hard for me to find the research I need because I will be more sufficient in my research skills. Writing about the issues in my career path has led me to realize how important it is to change the health care field. I feel like there are so many issues regarding health care that people tend to brush to the side because money is more important than people's health. I want to be able to step in and make a change for others in need. One skill I have learned while being in this course is self-determination. There have been things going on in my life that have led me not to finish some of my assignments in this course, but I realized that my grade is more important than the issues I have going on. All my hard work will be paid off once I finally graduate with a master's degree in Health and Wellness. Another skill that I have learned during his course is communication. My communication skills have allowed me to reach out to others and use my resources to help me with my obstacles. These skills can be added to my resume to show others that I am self-determined and can communicate effectively.
