Peer Review for Mini-Essay 2
Description: This peer review activity will help you learn how an on-line peer review process works, plus it gives you a low-risk opportunity to put your own skills to work.
The peer review questions follow the mini-essay scoring rubric. Use the Peer Review Guidelines for Mini-Essay 2 to formulate your feedback to your student partner.

3 points Thesis: Write down the thesis statement.
Does it appear early in the paragraph? Does it make a clear and specific statement about the short story?
3 points: Supporting details: What kind of details does the writer use to support the thesis? Should there be more? If so, make a suggestion. Your response should be at least 25 – 50 words
2 points Strengths: Can you name one strength of the essay? Is there something specifically memorable
2 points: Weaknesses: Can you see any weaknesses in the essay? Can you offer a strategy or clue to help the writer? Did the writer punctuate the title correctly?
After you have answered these questions, save the file as: lastname.firstname.PR1 and submit one copy as an attachment to the Assignments tab and send a second copy to your peer through Blackboard Messages.
