The study focuses on addressing the problems that exist in the twenty-first-century knowledge economy were there more people willing to learn in their free time, advance their professionalism while working, and students who feel they can be discovered on their own. It addresses the main challenges of being a self-driven learner in today’s world, where there are improved technology and sources of learning, such as online courses and learning material. People living in this type of environment need to appreciate and visionalize their learning to cater to the demand in the society while the supply for the source of education and knowledge increase. It addresses the problems of individual ability to changes his learning behavior through engagement and motivation to improve his effectiveness and efficiency for self-directed learning.

Research Purpose Write a brief statement that fully describes the intent of the study or the reason for conducting the study. Present this in one sentence or no more than one clear concise paragraph. |
The main goal of the study is to use autoethnographic techniques to enable individuals to reflect on their learning behavior and customs in their areas of specialization roles in computing and data science. The aim to align the learning practice with the pace of change in the working environment and advancement in technology, where individuals need to more self-reliant to learn new knowledge and skills with necessary waiting for an instructor. There has been little research on how the individual can be self-driven in learning of computing and data science through the developed values and behavior that motivate and help to engage on their own in learning practice. |
Research Participants Describe in detail the participants of the study. |
The participant of the student includes students undertaking computing and data science who are included to provide their views and opinion regarding the use of action research methods in their studies. Another group include is individual in professionalism that is already working. They included in the study to determine effective learning methods that working people can use to improve the educational skills and knowledge with consideration of the growing technology. Their view included the flexibility of the learning practices and the ability to be self-driven learning in consideration of their family and work responsibilities and stress involved. The participants were engaged for a period of fours month to identify they are effects in the method in improving individual self-directed learning.

The primary research question should flow logically from the problem statement and purpose statement and be very similar in wording although phrased as a question. This may include alternative and null hypotheses as appropriate. |
Research question · To evaluate an insight into values that more relevant and can be modified using action research? · How does learning practice shape one life? · How can I shape the learning practice to fit my desire and schedule? · How can I advance educational practice by developing my motivation and engagement? · Which methods and techniques are effective in helping me improve my engagement and motivation? |
Literature Review Section Provide a brief overview of the conceptual framework upon which the study is based. Identify the seminal research and theories that inform the study. Discuss the topics and themes that are used to organize the literature review. |
The study is based on the action research method in helping individuals adopt the behavior of self-driven learning. The first part of the literature focuses on establishing the differences between self-determined learning and the traditional approaches to learning. According to Newman, & Farren (2018), both pedagogy and andragogy are determined to ensure the learner gain the skill and knowledge they wish to learn, but self-determined learner goes further to identifies changes in the world where living such as technology. This aspect of heutagogy plays a vital role in this study such that it enables us to understand one’s own learning practices that provide the freedom of learning and control of their learning setting as well as the autonomy over the courses and material to be used for learning purpose. It establishes strategies that motivate working people to establish self-directed learners using heutagogy. The second part focus on reflective practices of heutagogy models and the role they play in helping determine the leaner educational goal and needs. It focuses on managing the autonomy and flexibility expressed by the heutagogy models to the learner by emphasizing the significance of reflection. According to Newman & Farren (2018), it is forked road situations, difficulties, and obstruction that help individuals reflect who they are and alternative solutions. The third focuses on the engagement where the learner must drive from within. Both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation must be engaged to ensure the full motivation of the learner (Blaschke & Hase, 2015). One significant aspect of self-driven is finding time and energy to keeping going with the learning plan. Individuals need gamification techniques that motivate the absence of intrinsic motivation to build a long term and regular engagement in the learning practice.

Research Design Describe the research design and state the type of quantitative or qualitative approach used. |
The study uses an action research approach that involves the participant making and helps professional to intervene in improving the practice. It also incorporates the element of autoethnography to help complete the study (Méndez, 2014). The study uses a qualitative method of data collecting by review on pervious articles and how the conclusion thought given by the authors. Data was collected using a reflection journal to record any action thought regarding the learning. The reflection journal was analyzed in chronological order, while rescue time data allowed triangulation against the reflection. |
Ethical Considerations Describe all ethical considerations and provide a rationale for the considerations. |
The participant in the study and knowledge economy required the individual to involves in continues learning. They are asked private and confidential information such as how they cope up with life, work, family, stress, and continuous learning (Blaschke, 2017). This information is very sensitives to the participant and requires the researcher to ensure high ethical standards while collecting data. Another ethical consideration is no how the organization support its employee to ensure continuous learning. The researcher must adhere to the ethical considerations of the organization by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of the information gathered |
Research Findings Report all research findings and conclusions found from the study. |
According to the result, they identified the incongruity values between theory-in-use and espoused theory. This means that self-drive learning is a solution to achieve continuous demand in today's economy. It more effective is it allows just in time learning to improve on the skill and knowledge need in today's job markets, thus leading to continues learning. It also shows that organization employees are motivated by different incentives that encourage them to engage in continuous learning. Intrinsic motivating is one of the effective ways that support an individual in achieving his learning goals compared to extrinsic motivation. The paper concludes the importance of self-driven in the modern economy using an action research method of learning.

Need for the Study Describe the need for the Study. Provide a rational or need for studying the particular issue or phenomenon. |
The study is critical in helping people realize their potential in improving and continuing with education, no matter the environment. This is because all that is need is the individual to be motivated and engaged, leading to a change of behavior and attitude about continuous learning (Tritsch, 2016). It also opens the mind of the organization in various ways to improve their employee knowledge and skill hence helping them grow in talent and maintain a competitive position in the market.
|
Practical Implications Describe any stated practical implications. |
The main practical implication is to help resolve the tension developed due to incongruity values. It helps an individual change their values and behaviors and promotes a positive attitude toward being a self-driven learner. Another practical implication is assisting individuals in finding what motivates them to learn, thus becoming more engaged in learning practice.

Part Two
Relevant to the Study
The study on action research methods in the real world is extremely pertinent to my investigations as it helps improving skill and understanding of the concepts. It improves my knowledge and skill gain include about various teaching methods that help find the solution to the different situations such as when the student needs to use action, plan, act, analysis and reflect their learning process to have an understanding of the subject.
The finding of the study provides ways one can improve his educational through using action research method whiles doing other activities due to the autonomy and control of the process one has on selecting the learning method and material to uses (Grant & Zilling, 2017). This represents my current situation since it can help me venture in other activities while I am self-driven when coming to learning.
The study on self-directed and action research promotes education in society and use a modern system that creates actionable strategies and putting the method in practice. This will help in the future when in need to develop may professional education to the next level while still have other duties and responsibilities (Roepke, McGonigal, & Broome, 2013). The studies result shows various way of creating motivation and engagement to help one change the attitude and behavior toward continues learning.
Therefore, the research is designed to help everyone, especially me, in changing various characters and values toward future goals in education advancement. It also develops a method for motivating in achieving the set goal in the future. It improves one critical thinking on ways to be self-determined and driven to achieve educational goals while still having other responsibilities.
Refection of the Process
I have a good chance reflection on the journal, which helps determine effective work from ineffective work done, thus allowing one to develop effective changes in future work while improving on the existing knowledge. It also helps gain understanding and experience of the various processes involved to make better choices in the future as learn from multiple works reviewed (McTaggart & Nixon, 2018). I had a chance to review personal thought and opinion given by different authors that help gain more understanding of what to look for while reviewing an article.
The process of reviewing the peer-reviewed action researcher proposal focuses on the researcher question, the research methods, purpose of the study, and result. This part plays a vital role while reviewing a research proposal since it provides crucial information about the research and what that researcher aim at while conducting the research. The breakdown of the research help to effective review the articles and acknowledge the point the researchers wanted to communicate to the audience.
I faced challenges while reviewing some parts of the peer review, such as the literature review, which identifies the existing gap between the research and existing literature. It involves reviewing of existing concepts and theories and previously completed studies. The process is long, and if one is not careful, it may miss out on the critical theory in the reviews.
The whole process of review a peer review research proposal was a wonderful process that made me realize how little I knew of completing a peer review. It poses the various question on how effective completed a review by asking the question that the researchers asked himself and tries to locate the proper answer provided. One needs to position himself in the mind of the researcher to effectively complete a peer review
