Premise: The police must fight gang violence, drug dealers, homelessness, prostitution, domestic violence, theft, and every unexpected crisis while maintaining school security and keeping the peace in communities.

Unstated Premise: The police take on too many responsibilities.

Unstated Conclusion: Therefore, the police cannot be defunded.

Premise: The police must stand by as others get away with crime 

Unstated Premise: The police must keep the peace in order to not be defunded 

Unstated Conclusion: Defunding the police means people getting away with more crimes while they try to keep the peace

Premise: The police can't ignore all crimes such as robbery, white-collar theft, rapists, murder etc.

Premise: Spending money on helping those in poverty is more important than spending it on police

Unstated Conclusion: They need their funding to do their jobs.

Unstated Conclusion: Defunding the police, allows for the police to do their job of keeping the peace without having to worry about things that aren’t their job such as providing mental health services.

Unstated Conclusion: His job is to keep the peace, redistributing the money allows for other people to worry about everything else he was carrying.
