In the short article it shows how online learning has been affecting students with an ADHD end it provides some examples to see how they’re being affected. This article was released three months ago and it’s very relevant today. This article goes very well with mine topic because it’s about students having a learning disability and attending online school. This article comes from a reliable source and uses some licensed psychologists and actual students who have ADHD, and they explain what it’s like to have it in attends school with it. The author is Rebecca Nissen, and she is an author at The Daily Universe. The Daily Universe it’s a webpage for staff and faculty at BYU. The purpose of the article is to show how online learning is affecting students with ADHD. It provides both negative and positive things about online learning. For example, one positive thing about online learning is that they are able to control them their environment like eliminating distractions. Some distraction that they could have an in-person lecture is the smell of food that some people eat at an in-person lecture. I am very comfortable pairing this article with my research paper due to the fact that it provides real examples from licensed psychologist and from people who have disabilities, and they are attending classes.

BALRAM | April 20, Amrita. “How Online Learning Can Affect Student Health.” Letter, 20 Apr. 2020, www.jhunewsletter.com/article/2020/04/how-online-learning-can-affect-student-health

This short article is about how online learning can affect someone’s actual health from mental illness to physical illness. This article was published 11 months ago and it’s pretty relevant today because students are still having online classes. This article goes there well with the topic that I chose because it’s proving how some students are developing mental illness and physical illness due to online learning. This article comes from a reliable source because doctors that specialize in pediatric sleep center, psychology, and neuropsychology at the Hopkins all Children’s Hospital are giving proof that online learning is affecting the students physically and mentally and special if they have some learning disability. The publisher is Johns Hopkins newsletter and it’s a site where students can post their articles and in those articles interview doctors from Johns Hopkins. The author Amrita Balram is a research assistant at the John Hopkins, and she has published numerous articles about this kind of subjects. I am very comfortable relating this article with my research paper because it gives us ways on how to not let online learning affect our physical and mental health and it gives us examples of real stories of students who are struggling physically and mentally with their health due to online learning. Like for example some kids are struggling with walking now because they’re spending too much time stationary like sitting down for a two-hour lesson and start becoming now sleep deprived. Mentally some kids are showing high levels of depression and anxiety and they’re having attention problems because they’re not able to concentrate in their schoolwork.
