1. Introduction: Comment by shravan uttakalla: Use this as a sample. Write a new version.

Coaching can be defined as a training-based development in which the learner (coachee) is supported by the coach to achieve a specific personal or professional goal (career). It is within the coach's realm of responsibility to set the ground rules, collect the necessary information, define the right action plan, push or prod accordingly, and adjust approach as required. On the other hand, the coachee must take ownership over his or her progress, working at it consistently and with commitment, while trusting the coach to be there with all necessary support and expertise. Undertaking the work-related issues such as career advancement and career opportunities are amongst the purpose of the coaching process.

2. Reflection:

As a person who never had the experience of the coaching process, this assignment was very much helpful for me to explore the importance of the coach in the career development. Through this process, I have also learned how a well-established interconnection between the coach and coachee could lead to the success. This assignment was a great opportunity to learn about myself and to understand how the career is defined by different people.

2.1. Being a coach : Through coaching, the person that I coached did not have any idea about the specific path to reach his goal. This led me to realize that how prioritizing and defining a well-established program can help coachee to achieve his final career goal. Through this process, my coachee has found himself better to balance between his family and work. Moreover, I realized a significant improvement in his level of knowledge about interpersonal and technical skills needed for successful career development. Based on the information I received from him through filling out the self-reflection form, I found him very eager and self-confident about his career goals. I realized that continuing in education is one of his most important mid-level goals toward his top-level career goal. He was very much determined to achieve his top-level career goal, which was the highest possible position in the organization he is going to work. Factors influencing his career were his personal attitude on helping people, having a friendly environment, and having a work/family balance. Having flexible hours and an opportunity for implementing his ideas was among his most important motivation. By completing this section, I better realized the meaning of the meaning of the Holland theory in career development, where it claims that the choice of career is mainly dependent upon the behavior and personality style of the person. Comment by shravan uttakalla: The person has written this as a coach imagining me as a choachee. So, based on this write the coachee part of the assignment.

2.2. Being a coachee : As a coachee, I understood about different aspects of my personality that would be certainly helpful for my future career goal. I found myself as an adaptive and flexible person who can be joined any environment depending on the situation. I think this flexibility has helped me a lot during my life so far, to overcome many unexpected hardships in my personal life and work. I also realized that I am taking a positive approach in my personal life and career with a great clarity in thoughts. This positive approach together with hard working has helped me to keep trying toward my goals in my life. Innovation was another significant characteristic of mine that was observed through this process by reviewing my prior work experience and personality. As a result, I realized that my career theory can be explained by a cognitive theory due to my progressive and flexible characteristics, and focusing more on the outcome than the environment. Comment by shravan uttakalla: The person has written this as a coachee imagining me as a coach. So, based on this write the coach part of the assignment.

3. Process : As a coach, I noted all important points, related to the career of my coachee into the self-reflection form, made a questionnaire, arranged an interview, analyzed my all collective data, decided which career theory fits better to my coachee, and shared my findings with him. As a coachee, I walked through the same process by the coach and recognized better myself when my coach shared his results with me. Comment by shravan uttakalla: Use this as the sample
