I suggest doing more research on the bridge and do some calculation to estimate the load.

What suggestions do you have for improving the proposed build (for eg. Other weakness that you can see with the proposed build)?

The design of the bridge is good however, Truss bridges are complicated with complex buildings. Every part needs to fit correctly to achieve its purpose, and anything less will mean that the bridge might not hold a weight. Removing the central support to compensate the load might weaken the structure. Doing more research and calculations will help improving the design and estimate any possible weaknesses. Moreover, I could not see how much kg that the bridge might hold.

You have done great job for the part (the researched bridge) but it would be better if you have done similar for the DIY bridge so you can have more information. Since this is the first submission, there is always space for improvement.
