PED 138 2
PED 138 – Assignments for the Week of 4/13/2020
1. Complete Quiz #2 (10 points). You may use your notes to complete the quiz. You may do the quiz in another document (just be sure to number your answers), you may print the quiz and complete it by hand and scan it as an email or send it as a photo, etc. Whatever works best for you!
2. Watch My Washcloth/Paper Plate Exercise Video (5 points). Please watch my 10-minute video to introduce you to the washcloths/paper plates. These are such great tools to use, especially, if you’re looking to focus on your Core muscles! I’m sure you’ll be able to find either washcloths or paper plates in your residence.
You will type your observations of the video:
-What are two things you learned from my video about using washcloths/paper plates? (2 pts)
-What are two exercises that you observed in my video? (2 pts)
-How can you incorporate some/all of these exercises in your own workouts? (1 pt)
3. Watch One or Two More Washcloth/Paper Plate Exercise Videos. By watching other videos, you will get more ideas of how you can use these tools to enhance your exercise regimen. Here’s one that shows a couple of other exercises with the washcloths: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB94d1nmD5I.
4. Create Your Own Video of a Washcloth/Paper Plate Exercise (10 pts). You may choose one of the exercises that I showed you or one of the exercises that you found on your own to “teach”.
In your video, you will:
-Introduce yourself and the name of your exercise. (2 pts)
-Show and tell that you’re using either washcloths or paper plates. (1 pt)
-Say what muscle group this exercise is intended to work (i.e. Core? Glutes? Etc?). (1 pt)
-Explain, in detail, how you do the exercise (i.e. How should your form look? What are some reminders that you can give your “class”/”participant”? What are the cues you need to give to help your “class”/”participant” execute the exercise? Etc?). (5 pts)
-Conclude your video by telling me how you intend to use this exercise in your own exercise routine. (1 pt)
-Total Points: 10
All of the above assignments are due no later than Monday 4/20/2020. No late assignments will be accepted!
