· Invite a teacher who works with students with physical or learning differences to speak to the class. In what ways are these kids ordinary? How are they different? · Classroom teacher will invite students to the rug and introduce the book “We’re All Wonders” to class. The teacher will discuss the cover of the book. What is different about the boy? Have the group think of words that best describe him and discuss reasons why he may be wearing a space helmet .

· Begin discussion with children about differences between character traits and physical traits. Teacher will read-aloud book to class.

· Students will compete a worksheet that matches character traits with definitions and or characters in the book.

· Students will complete a writing assignment where they will write 2-3 sentences when they chose to be kind. Students will color and design a helmet to reflect their act of kindness. Students will cut out and staple together their writing and helmet to be displayed on bulletin board.
