1. Read over these websites (trust me….)

· Health intervention strategies – gives 3 main ones, but there are more

· Program Examples (site has a lot of “models & innovation” programs for rural communities

· Need = purpose/goal

· Intervention = the strategy (some include more than one – education, communication etc)

2. Find articles that discuss the ACTUAL programs focused on your health issue and similar target population. You will need to showcase 3 of the best programs (hint: programs that CAN realistically be done at Commerce/Boles ISD)

a. For example an article talking about:

i. A program to increase access to mental health care among students

ii. A school mental health prevention program

iii. An exercise health program

iv. A nutrition education program….

3. Look over my implementation plan for a program aimed at raising awareness of Breast Cancer and increasing screening among women living in Commerce. TX

a. Feel free to use this entire template to write Part IV (I would…and you’re welcome! ….but be creative, don’t simply “copy and paste” my program idea….areas in red is for you to input specific information for your health issue and population.)
