Writing Quality

Grammar, spelling, punctuation and word choice will be considered according to the standards of academic writing, for example, slang is not acceptable. Most importantly, it is clear what the writer is trying to communicate. Remember: - In American English the punctuation goes inside the quotation marks. -A title needs to be in italics or in quotation marks. -Paraphrase correctly. Paraphrase means taking someone else's ideas or words and putting them in your own words AND still giving them credit by citing where you found the information. If you fail to do this in your assignments, it is considered plagiarism. Anything taken from sources (including the article itself) must be paraphrased and cited. Please use quoted material sparingly. If there is too much quoted material, you will lose points (this material also needs to be cited.)
