Part B: Problem

The video describes how the education system in most countries and institutions is the reason that hinders the development of an entrepreneurial culture. In most countries, the education system is designed so that there is a linearity problem; institutions assume that the development of skills and abilities in certain areas increases with the time spent in learning institutions. However, this is not true because their passion and love for something majorly influence how someone develops skills and abilities. For instance, if students enter a music class at the same time in a year, at the end of the year, the person with more interest and passion will have learned more and might even be able to play some instruments at that point.

Part B: Idea

One of the resources that schools offer to help develop an entrepreneurial culture is the entrepreneur-in-residence, which is a position held by a successful entrepreneur in law schools, venture capital firms, and business schools, among other institutions (Boldureanu et al., 2020). This is an effective way of encouraging entrepreneurial culture; this is because it allows the students to put into practice the theoretical knowledge gathered in class to work. Another way that the culture can be encouraged in schools is by supporting the business launches of learners. This can be done by supporting the entire process, from market research all the way to building a real practical and operational business (Ratten & Usmanij, 2021). This is because this will help in offering ideas and help when the young entrepreneurs are stuck and encouraging them to continue. Additionally, the culture can be encouraged by bringing in successful business people and entrepreneurs to talk to school students.
