What is your challenge or opportunity?

To improve the recruiting strategies at FedEx that relate to hiring best employees.

Why is this professionally important to you?

I seek to analyze the knowledge that I have acquired in acquiring the best talent that will benefit FedEx.

2. Goal:       

What goals or outcomes do you want to achieve with this communication?

The goal that I want to achieve with this communication is supervising the process of hiring. The next goal is formulating an efficient framework that contains a planned process for candidate selection.

The goal is clear, concise, and actionable.

3. Audience:       

Who is your target audience?

The target audience is any candidate who seeks employment at FedEx

What are the professional positions of the audience members?

· Top executives

· Co-workers

What demographic characteristics will the audience comprise?

The audience will comprise both external and internal audiences. The demographics vary based on the area of residence among others.

What is your relationship to the audience?

As a supervisor of the human resource department, I have been given the responsibility to develop a communication plan for improving business recruiting strategies. I will also get an opportunity to interact with the recruiting agencies.

What background knowledge and expertise does the audience have?

They are professionals from different fields and have the required knowledge and skills.

What does the audience know, feel about, and expect concerning this communication?

The audience is aware of the current hiring process and feels that there is a need to improve the overall recruiting process.

What preconceptions or biases do you possess that might prevent you from building rapport with your audience?

I do not have preconceptions or biases that might prevent me from building a rapport with my audience. As an outgoing person, I think I won’t face any challenge in interacting with others.

A survey poll will be used. It will be circulated to the audience and it will contain a set of questions. This will help understand the concerns on the hiring strategies.

It may be challenging for the audience to learn about new strategies.

Is the setting casual or formal?

The casual setting will be used

The communication will be personal. This will ensure that the audience understands the message being passed.

The primary message that I must convey is to my audience understanding the need and importance of improving hiring and recruiting strategies.

The message is aligned with my audience’s goals and needs. This is because they also want to be part of improving the recruiting strategies

· There is a need to ensure diversity

· Interaction with third parties will help ensure that we acquire talent, skilled and experienced employees

· Internal recruitment is important in acquiring talented employees

Statistical analysis will be used in obtaining facts and data about my message

What communication style will you employ (tell/sell or consult/join) and why?

The communication style that will employ is to consult/join. It will help me acquire deep information on the causes of the issue. It also permits participants to be active in the discussion.

What channels will you use to deliver your message, and why will they be the most effective?

The channels that I will use include PowerPoint presentations and meetings, telephonic conversations, and email. They will be effective as they will be applied to different audiences. They also permit an in-depth discussion.

What purpose is served by each style and channel you have selected?

A powerPoint presentation will keep the interest level of the audience maintained. Meetings, telephonic conversations, and email will ensure timely conversation.

Active participation and cooperation of all the audiences

The action request is clear, concise, and easily actionable as their active participation and cooperation are required.
