Introduction
There are multiple ways to become a recognized business in the modern world, one of which is constructing a building in less than a week. China`s Broad Group is a company that made a 15-layer hotel to impress, parade their competence and new technology in construction. This hotel was built with 200 labour in six days. The internal structure took only 46.5 hours to build, using completed foundation and ground construction and the external structure was completed in 90 hours, using prefabricated parts that took to be assembled and build off-site in weeks (Saenz and Aaron, 2017).
Although based on China`s Broad Group the resistancy of this hotel was estimated 9.0 in counter to the earthquake, the material that was used is one-sixth of a similar building while it is cost-efficient (20% less). As this project was successful, they are planning to expand the project not only nationally but also globally that could revolutionize industrial construction worldwide (Saenz and Aaron, 2017).
Why This Project
Even though, the speed of Ark hotel`s construction might seem the most impressive feature that the company is praising they also proved that this construction type is better in every aspect including labour, resident, and environment friendly. As the company has tested the resistance of the building withstands an earthquake up to 9.0 on the Richter scale. (Chad, 2014)
Several factors boast this project, one of them is there was no injured labour despite the speed of the project that reduces the cost indirectly; the other one is the amount of material was reduced to five-sixths of the normal usage, Also the generated waste to build the hotel was only 1% not considering the waste that was manufactured off-site. Last but not least, environment-friendly part of this project that offered energy efficiency five times higher by employing “15cm thermal insulation, triple pane windows, external solar shading, fresh air heat recovery, and LED lighting (Saenz and Aaron, 2017).”
Project Charter
A project charter is an official, characteristically brief document that outlines the scheme in its wholeness. It includes what the goals and objectives are, the way it is going to be undertaken, and who the shareholders are. It is a vital ingredient in the preparation of the scheme since it is employed in the entire lifecycle of the project. (www.wrike.com, 2020)
Project Title:
The title of the project is called Changsha Ark Hotel and was a15 stories building. This project was projected to take less than 6 days and that is exactly what happened. The sponsor for this project was China’s Broad Group.
Business Need:
The key need for constructing this 15 stories building in less than 6 days was that China's Broad Group desired to demonstrate the efficiency and speed of its novel technology when it comes to construction, hence in a record period, they constructed the “Ark Hotel in Changsha”.
Deliverables:
The deliverable was to make sure that this project of 15 stories has been completed on time stipulated. Through this, the project sponsors desire was met which was to showcase the efficiency and speed when it comes to technological advancement in the field of constructions.
Risks and issues:
The risk associated with this construction was that it could not be in a position to withstand an earthquake which could be beyond a 9.0 magnitude. Another issue what that the building was not meant to serve for a long period since it was constructed through the use of prefabricated parts. Also, the time frame was challenging if they could have decided to construct material on-site and assemble them. Instead, they opted to manufacture the materials off-site which possibly took weeks to produce them completely.
Meanwhile, since ALL the pieces were already built, so getting damaged in a way that makes them useless can be a risk since they would need time to buy another one and since it was their first project, lack of experience in these types of projects could be a risk.
Also, the resources need a fast flow in this kind of project. A shortage of resources can affect the operations. Suppliers are an important source and strong connection in the local region is very important. As much of the work is done off-site, so there are numerous hidden costs.
Assumptions/Dependencies.
The assumption on this project was that for them to complete within the 6 days a record time, everything will be available on-site on time since the materials were fabricated of the site.
Financials.
Even though the total cost was not disclosed, the “Ark Hotel” was constructed on one-sixth the material for the construction of an equivalent sized construction with a 20% cost saving.
Milestone Schedule.
Using a group of 200 workforces the physical outline was erected in only 46.5 hours and the exterior covering and interior non- physical surfaces were finished in another 90 hours. In a total of fewer than 6 days, a 15 stories building was complete and that was the time-lapse of china's construction miracle.

RAM (Responsibility Assignment Matrix)
Responsibility Assignment Matrix is used by the project managers to identify the role of various members connected within the project. The matrix is moreover like a structural chart which gives a clear picture of the responsibility of different people towards different tasks. As the duration of the projects is not that much longer, so it is decided in advance that who will be performing what kind of responsibility. It is done to save time only (Mulder, 2014).
The RAM matrix was divided into two parts i.e. internal and external. As the number of activities is more under internal construction, two managers were given the responsibility at the site. A single person cannot manage and look to the work of different divisions as well as for deciding under such a short time. For the external construction we have assigned one manager who will be coordinating with the internal site managers and according to the completion of tasks on both sides they will go ahead with the final assembling stage (Saenz, 2011).
