In this assignment, you'll receive points for:
1%: A topic, defined by a title (does not have to be the final title).
(The topic clearly conveys the topic of the project and the role that geography plays in the topic.)
1%: Image slide (topic) includes a map/infographic.
(This map does not have to be of the author's own creation, but should convey information related to the topic of interest and a geospatial context)
If the topic graphic does have a title or explanation attached, the author should explain in written form a justification for the use of the graphic, the geospatial information it contains, and the relationship it has to the chosen topic.
1%: Justify why this topic is of interest to you.
(This does not have to be deeply thought out, researched, or analyzed at this stage. However, from this statement it should become clear to the reader why this topic is A) of interest to you B) in the past, present, or future could significantly impact society or groups within society and C) that there is a real geospatial component to the topic, even if only as a non-physical cultural perception, belief, etc.)
This could be on the same slide, or in a different slide, or using immersive text.
Essentially, we're trying to learn:
What do you want to research for the project/s in this course?
Why do you care, and why should we care?
Why does this belong in a geography class?
