How to make ice cream
It is always good to learn new things regardless of whether you are going to utilize that knowledge or not. When one learns something new, he or she feels better about themselves and more confident. Moreover, one’s mental health also improves and as it is said, knowledge is power. This paper is going to go into details about how to make ice cream. When one is planning to host a friend or group of friends for dinner, ice cream can be a great choice of desert thus learning how to make it can be beneficial. By serving ice cream to family and friends as a desert can help in creating a good ambience, a cool and relaxed atmosphere where everyone is happy.
It is not a requirement for one to have an ice cream machine to be able to make ice cream. To make homemade ice cream, one will need milk, heavy cream, strawberry (or any other preferred flavor), sugar, salt, crushed ice cubes, cones or spoons, bowls, one gallon-sized plastic food storage, two quart-sized plastic food storage bags, and a towel. The portions of all these ingredients will vary according to the number of people one is hosting. When you have all these items you can now proceed to make the homemade ice cream.
Add the milk, heavy cream, and then the sugar and the strawberry or in this case any other flavor that you opted to use in one of the quart-sized bags. Mix them until they are well combined, and squeeze as much air as possible from the bag before closing it (Imatome-Yun, 2015). After this, put the bag in the other quart-sized bag and repeat the process of squeezing air out from the first bag in second bag and also seal it. By using two bags, it prevents water and salt finding their way into your ice cream. Put the bags with the mixture in the gallon sized bag and add salt plus ice cubes or the crushed ice, these should cover the bags with the mixture well before you tightly close.
Using the towel, shake the mixture every now and then while exerting the right amount of pressure. Keep at it until your ice cream reaches the consistency level that you prefer. Once its ready remove the smaller bags from the big one and rinse it to ensure that the salt does not leak into the ice cream. The ice cream is now ready and you can serve it in bowls or cones. The ice cream will brighten everyone’s mood, you can also decide to add a couple of ingredients of your choosing to add a personal touch.
