Tracy Hogg also known as the baby whisperer came up with an important routine that helps babies sleep. Hers is a blend of the crying it out methods and the no tears method. Tracy Hogg lists important methods that help put baby sleep; one such method is a strictly structured routine while the other is the pick-up put down method. Tracy’s tools are age specific, have guiding instructions to be followed, and are a learning experience for parents. Tracy clearly differentiates schedules and routines in her EASY routine (Blau & Hogg, 2016).
Amy McCready is another parenting expert with relatable parenting philosophies. Her philosophy aims at empowering children to control their behavior (McCready, 2011). She integrates choices, controlling the environment, natural consequences, and body, mind, and soul time among other factors, to help parents control their children's behavior without making them powerless. Importantly, she offers the tools and parents are free to choose those that work for them.
Jo Frost's parenting advice would be most helpful to me today. Raising toddlers requires one to know how to handle them especially when it comes to disciplining them. She has a polite way of dealing with naughty toddlers. Her advice about raising happy children also motivates parents to evaluate themselves, and what they could do to better themselves and their children.
