Paper Proposal
I will be writing on the evolution of Amazons Logistics. Jeff Bezos is the founder and chairman of CEO of Amazon. Amazons logistics have really evolved and is now the standard of logistics in business. Jeff said “in only a few seconds and with a couple taps on their phones, customers can read reviews, compare prices from multiple retailers, see whether something is in stock, find out how fast it will ship or be available for pickup and more” (Buchman).
Amazon offers shipment just like if it was from FedEx, UPS such as 2-day air, 7 day and even next day shipment. Their customer service is pretty top notch. You can track packages when they left and when it will be delivered. You can contact them for about anything Via online or over the phone. Amazon does use third part transport services and they are pros and cons about how Amazon uses them. Amazon has used third party services such as retailers from the beginning and it has made them the most successful e commerce business in the world. Amazon does not stay in the moment they continue to move forward. They are trying to explore different delivery services such using drones. There will be controversy when and if the drones come out. Amazon is development of using unmanned semi-trucks to move shipments across the states to help alleviate third party delivery trucks. I will be able to touch from the beginning of an idea in a garage to a standard in logistics that Amazon is capitalizing on.
