PAPER GUIDELINES for Book Report

“Deaf-Blind Reality”

You will pick one chapter from the book that interests you and write 5 pages not including cover

page and works cited page for a total of 7 pages.

PAPER MUST BE TYPED IN A 12 POINT. TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT, AND DOUBLE SPACED.

MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

1.) COMMENT ON AND SUMMARIZE WHAT YOU READ OR ATTENDED This means I would like a “narrative format.” You are to provide a “story” about the reading or event in

chronological or sequenced order.

2.) PROVIDE AN ANALYSIS OF WHAT YOU READ OR ATTENDED This means you are to divide/ categorize and /or classify the new information and

draw a conclusion or present an opinion about the reading or event.

3.) COMPARE & CONTRAST WHAT YOU READ OR ATTENDED TO OTHER READINGS OR EVENTS.

This means you are to discuss your prior knowledge and describe how the readings or events are similar

(compare) and how things are different (contrast).

4.) SUGGESTIONS/SOLUTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT Discuss ways to improve your outlook, make recommendations for changes, and suggest solutions for the

issues you’ve identified.

5.) QUESTIONS: Please note the questions that occurred to you during the event(s) that may or may not have answers.
