Nutrition Research Paper
Students are able to demonstrate effective and professional oral and written communication and documentation and use of current information technologies when communicating with individuals, groups and the public.
The purpose of this research paper is to further explore a topic that is covered in this course and discover information that can be used in future practice. A comprehensive literature search will be conducted and your findings presented in a professional paper.
Paper: Write a 4 - 6 page paper (not including your title page or references) on your approved topic.
Components: For full credit, your paper must be divided into the following components. Take time to arrange the material from your sources into these topics.
· Abstract
· Introduction and background
· Population concerns
· Nutrition related concerns (What nutrition components are related to your topic?)
· Nutrition intervention (What studies were done to determine the effectiveness of the hypothesis?)
· Outcome measures (What were the results of the studies and the implications?)
· Conclusion

Title Page: Title, running head, author, institution (your name, the date, etc. is not to be included)
Abstract: This section should follow the title page. It is the summary of the paper's content including the methods, research findings, and conclusions. It should answer: "Why the problem, what is the problem, how is the problem solved, what is the answer and what is the implication of the results.) Margins: one inch
Font: Times New Roman, 12 point, black ink
Spacing: Double space the entire document, reference list and between text and headings.
Paragraphs: Indent
Headings:
Level one headings (using the 6 components above) should be Centered, Boldface
Level two headings (headings you add) are to be Flush left, Boldface
References:
Begin on a new page after the last page of text.
Proofread your paper. It should not contain any spelling or grammatical errors.
