1. Summary/Reflection Paper

There will be a Summary/Reflection Paper assignment based on your review, summarization, and reflection of The Daily podcast, “The End of Privacy as We Know It?"  https://podcastaddict.com/episode/121402071 (Links to an external site.)  (Links to an external site). A summary/reflection paper is meant to illustrate your own understanding of the podcast and how it affects your ideas and possible practice(s) in the future. Please remember that this paper is not only a summary, but also it is to be written in your own words.

In order to complete this assignment, you first need to listen The Daily podcast, ““The End of Privacy as We Knot It?" ( https://podcastaddict.com/episode/121402071 (Links to an external site.)  ) (Links to an external site).

When listening to the podcast, your main goal is to achieve an overall understanding of the podcast topic, and how it relates to this class and course content.

Then, you need to write a summary of the podcast in your own words. A summary should be at least 1 full-text page (a minimum of 350 words double-spaced). A full-text page stands for a page with only relevant text and does not include title, course name, course code, professor name, assignment submission date etc. If you create a one-page summary but the half or quarter of the page includes title, your name, professor name, course information and so on, it will not count as one full text page. Thus, you will unfortunately lose points. Simply make sure that you have at least a full-text page of summary of the podcast content.

In the summary of the podcast, you should state the following components in your own words:

· Three primary points that you learned from the podcast and a brief description of each point. Simply, you just need to state and briefly describe, in your own words, three points you learned from the podcast.

· And any other component(s) you consider important that is related to the textbook (e.g., Chapter 10-Changing Work Environments and Future Trends)

After you complete the summary of the podcast, you need to write a minimum of 1 full-text page (a minimum of 350 words double-spaced) reflection of the information discussed in the podcast. Reflection is the section where you provide your own thoughts related to the podcast. More specifically, you need to explain:

· The arguments/discussions/statements of the podcast that you agree and/or disagree with, and then explain why.

· The arguments/discussions/statements of the podcast that you find interesting and/or surprising, and then explain why.

· Lastly, you need to explain how you would use the knowledge you gained from the podcast in your future academic and/or work and/or social life.

Quality of Presentation - spelling, neatness, format, and grammar aspects of the submission should be professional. This is a general requirement in academic writing.

Your submission needs to be written in an essay format with no usage of bullet points.

Thus,  no direct quotations from any source(s) are allowed.  Turnitin similarity check will be performed on your submission.

All of the above must be done within a double-spaced page using 12 Times new roman font with standard 1-inch margins. The submission must be done in a Microsoft Word document format.

Required minimum number of full-text pages; summary/reflection combined in one paper: 2 pages (minimum of 700 words; 350 words for each section).

Please make sure to include a Reference List (with APA format) at the end of your Summary/Reflection Paper to indicate the source(s) you have used to generate your paper. Even though you provide a Reference List, you are not to use any direct quotations from any of the references/sources provided.
