The research task is to describe and critically evaluate the practices and processes with regards to your chosen areas to the following activities: Identify a research problem related to the tourism, hospitality or events industry Carry out an independent research work Present your research findings and recommendations in written form. Demonstrate the ability to use various resources effectively as a major business and research resource

The word limit for the WP is 6,000 words (+/- 10%), excluding appendices and tables.

5. Project Work Structure The structure of the Project Work should clearly distinguish between the required sections such as introduction of sector, challenges/issues, recommendation and conclusions. The project MUST contain the following – a title page, a reference list in addition to the text of the study itself. Most projects will probably have appendices. None of these items count in the word limit. Thus one might expect to find the following parts but not necessarily in the order set out here nor under these precise headings. Again, discussion and agreement with your supervisor is vital here.

General Presentation The report must be typed on A4 paper on one side only Line Spacing: one and a half spacing between lines Margins: The left-hand margin should be 1.5 inches and the right-hand margin about one inch. At least 1.5 inches should be left free of text at the top and bottom of each page. Page numbers are required: Pages before the Table of Contents (Title Page, Declaration, Acknowledgements, Abstract) should be numbered in roman numerals (i, ii, iii, …). Pages following the Table of Contents should be numbered using arabic numerals (1, 2, 3…)
