PAPER Guidelines

6 Pages, double spaced. Does NOT include the cover page or references. Minimum of 4 Sources, Must follow APA rules. If there’s any questions ask me, or refer to the syllabus.

Topic: You are to pick a case, that has a heavy forensic foot print. Bu that I mean physical evidence, blood, casings, firearms, prints, etc. Anything and everything that can be used to identify and convict.

If you read ahead into the text it’ll allow you to see what forensic items are used in cases, making it easier for you to choose a case.

Ultimately, you will be explaining the case, as you would in a case study. You will provide the who, what, where, when and why (if you have it). And most importunely how did forensics impact the case, what was the outcome and so forth.

Project Guidelines

In person students will be split up in groups. Online students will be presenting alone.

There is no length minimum or maximum, but there will be a time limit (just to make sure everyone presents in the days allocated). Once the online and in person numbers are confirmed I will let you guys know how many to a group and when each person will present.

Make it a powerpoint, you can bring props etc.

Topic: The groups will decide what forensic link they would like to focus on. Whether it be fingerprints or blood, or firearms etc. and make the presentation on that.

Word of advice for the groups, pick a forensic link that all of your cases have in common, that way its easy to tie in your case into the presentation and half of your research is already completed.

For those of you who will be solely online, your presentation will also be on a forensic link of your choosing, and I also recommend picking one that was noted in the case you used for the term paper.

We will be going over this in class, if you have any questions, comments or concerns please reach out!
