Chose business is Amazon

· Select any live business/organization (preferably a small or medium enterprise). This could be in any industry. You could choose a not-for-profit enterprise. You may want to select an onsite business as this is easier in terms of analysis. It could be a product business - brewery, book publishing, pizza etc.; be purely services industry – e.g. home care, tutoring, mortgage lending etc.; or a combination e.g. fast food.

· Based on past experiences, try to keep the business model very simple. You need to have access to the business, be able to see and talk to the concerned people and get complete details of how the business operates. It may be a good idea to actually interview/observe the business owner/manager/employees

· Your task is to analyze the operations; discuss the challenges; and detail the recommendations to improve both the effectiveness and the efficiency of the business: (read the details later)

· Look at the total supply chain of the business – from sourcing of material, outsourcing, manufacturing, logistics, delivery to customers (could be a consumer or to another business).
